Among his many professional distinctions, Dr. Sandler is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Association of Cataract Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives.

Dr. Sandler specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology which includes advanced technology cataract care and surgery, premium intraocular lenses, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma medical and surgical care, macular degeneration and laser vision correction.

He attends various ophthalmology conferences yearly so that he remains abreast of current and new surgical procedures, eye disease management and eye disease treatment modalities. His desire to be the best in his profession translates to excellent patient care and a state-of-the-art eye care and surgical center. Dr. Sandler also proudly has devoted his time providing international eye care with trips to Africa and Mexico.

Kalina Grimm, O.D., is originally from Portland, Oregon, but has strong ties in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley, as well as her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She completed a primary care and ocular disease residency at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and has a passion for primary care, ocular disease, and low vision. Dr. Grimm provides comprehensive quality eye care, including the management of glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Grimm prioritizes staying involved in her professional community and currently serves on the officer board as Secretary for the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society and is a candidate for Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry. Beyond her interests in eye care, she loves spending time with family, staying active through yoga and hiking, dabbling in creative outlets like throwing pottery, and caring for her growing indoor plant collection.
